Hollywood Bound

Hey readers! Thanks for checking out my blog. This is my first post. Hope you enjoy!

Wondering about the name of my blog? Then I shall explain. My name as you may or may not know is Shalom. My friends have always randomly said to me before they walk away, “I don’t know why you say Shalom, I say goodbye.” Though I never understood what they meant by that. You all know the song “Hello Goodbye” by The Beatles right? Well, I never connected that’s what they were referring to when they said that to me until recently when two of my amazing and talented friends sang it at a karaoke party. Then it finally clicked… “That’s my song!” While I was pondering blog titles, it suddenly came to me, and I knew it was perfect.

If you read the All About Shalom page, then you know I went to Hollywood CA, this month. I’ll share a little bit about it with you. It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. I saw and did things I would have never imagined getting to do. I feel so lucky that I was able to do and be apart of that wonderful trip. From seeing the Hollywood Sign to Beverly Hills shopping centers, I was in awe. Everywhere I went, I heard myself saying “Oooh.” And “Ahhh.” The people I met? Amazing. I wouldn’t trade that week for anything. Not only that, but I also bonded with a few people that I will never forget. They really mean the world to me, and I am so glad I got to know them before their stardom and fame. I really feel like it has changed my life, and I’m so glad and so lucky to have gotten this chance.  

Some people I really wish I could thank more then I was able to for getting me here.

Especially, Ms. Darla and Ms. Ann. They truly inspire me to shoot for the stars even when it seems too dark. I love them so much.
